We are a private organization dedicated to promoting sustainable energy utilization in Nepal through research and development, as well as awareness programs. Our mission is to improve the lives of people in Nepal by advocating for the use of sustainable energy sources, particularly in cooking practices, to reduce the harmful impacts of firewood usage and indoor air pollution.
Our journey began when a group of passionate individuals came together with a shared vision of creating positive change in Nepal. Witnessing the widespread reliance on firewood for cooking, especially in rural areas with limited or no access to electricity, we recognized the urgent need to find alternative and sustainable solutions. We were determined to make a difference and improve the lives of people in Nepal, particularly in terms of health, environmental sustainability, and economic empowerment.
Through extensive research and development efforts, we discovered the potential of electric gas stoves as a viable and eco-friendly alternative to traditional firewood cooking. We also realized that improved stoves could greatly benefit communities in remote areas where electricity access was limited. With this realization, Ajummery Bikas Foundation was born.
